Cherry red

Gap denim shirt, French Connection trousers, Karen Millen shoes, Zara bag
When I came up with WIT, I was looking for a blog/website that would give me a little dose of daily outfit inspiration, something that would allow me to shop in my own wardrobe and reinvent things I already had in a different way and with a different prospective, but I couldn't find anything online that was wearable enough for my real life. Most of you probably already own a pair of red trousers, but perhaps you haven't thought of pairing them with a denim shirt and leopard print shoes. Well I hope that your daily dose of WIT does just that, give you a little help and inspiration for tomorrow's outfit. If so, I'm happy! x

Laura, your outfit is so nice, but it is actually not realistic to daily wear denim and leopard print shoes for all of us who have a "serious" job.

It's like a zillion years that I'm trying to find the perfect printed shoe to wear with all black outfits AND with red.
Some days the pump can be too much, someday the loafer is only less special.
I still can't decide.

Hi Laura

I love you're blog and I love your outfit choices. Sometimes I wonder how they would look on women who are bigger than you. I think a lot of your post the outfits can be versatile on any size woman, but sometimes it's hard to tell. You have a great figure to wear the clothes you do and you know what suits you. I know it's personal, but it would be interesting to know what size you are and what height you are, to think about what the outfit might look like one someone who is a different size.

Thanks

Sarah

Hi Laura

This post and the one that was inspired by your sister kind of sum up how I 'use' WIT to give me ideas and inspiration for some of my outfits. I would love to buy everything I see but alas my wallet doesn't always allow me to! But I will make a little mental note and when I'm am shopping in the supermarket or less expensive high street stores I can then better imagine how my clothes and any new purchases can go together. I love the J. Crew skirt that you wore a few days ago, but perhaps wouldn't wear it (if I could get hold of it) because I am a little conscious of my size, however it has inspired me to order a lightweight pink and purple stripe sweater from GAP that I will put with a stretchy navy skirt to give an upside down version of the outfit you wore:) Thanks for sharing with us WIT fans - it’s really appreciated xxx

Anonymous @9:26 am -- That's not a nice thing to say. If what you mean is: "I work as an attorney; I don't think I could wear something as lovely and daring as you, as a stylist, can wear to work." Okay, fine. So then try Laura's outfit idea for weekends or date nights. Or get a different job! Regardless, don't be a sourpuss just because Laura has an enviable job. She works hard. Seriously. And she gets to have fun with what she wears. That's part of her career. Be nice.

Laura, I'm a fan of this outfit and your inventiveness in general. Three cheers. xx

Ho un paio di pantaloni rossi che non metto da secoli. Non avevo mai pensato di abbinarli come hai fatto tu. L'effetto e' molto chic anche se avrei ancora qualche difficolta' sulla scelta del colore da usare come capospalla. Qualche suggerimento?

Love it! I have a 'serious' job and wear leopard print, colour and my personal favourite, sequins, all the time. You don't have to wear black to be serious! L xx

Perfetta!
A dirla tutta sono proprio vestita così in questo momento, solo che ai piedi calzo delle ballerine leo.
Ho già proposto questo outfit nel mio blog lo scorso anno!
